Major Announcement — 22/05/2026

MyUrls originally participated in the closed alpha/beta phase of TurboVids (click here to go there), and we have now officially taken ownership of the project.

Because of this, future integration between MyUrls and TurboVids is now being actively explored. Depending on demand and development priorities, this could eventually include:

  • linking MyUrls profiles directly to TurboVids channels
  • embedded video support on MyUrls profile pages
  • direct TurboVids video integration within MyUrls pages

TurboVids already offers both free and paid accounts. Free accounts include limited public video channels for creators, communities, and small businesses, while paid plans are designed for users requiring additional storage, features, or higher usage limits.

Unlike many modern video platforms, our goal with TurboVids is to avoid intrusive advertising entirely. Instead, selected paid TurboVids accounts may occasionally receive a subtle discovery placement within the TurboVids platform itself to help users discover new creators naturally.

Importantly, this does not affect MyUrls pages, and we have no intention of introducing advertising across MyUrls profile pages.

We are also exploring additional embedding methods in the future, including iframe-based embeds and direct TurboVids video integrations for MyUrls profile pages.

Some future MyUrls video integration features may eventually become premium features on the MyUrls platform. However, as publicly stated previously, existing MyUrls users will continue receiving premium MyUrls features for life. We fully stand by that commitment.

Updates

  • Huge performance boost for your visitors, once you have finished editing your page, hit the publish now button, that will update your page locally for your users and reduce their loading times.
  • New Avatar Image processing 19/3/2026, now when you choose an Avatar Image, you will be able to crop it, so your profile looks as good as possible, always try to use a landscape image rather than portrait, should you need to reset the editor, just refresh the page and select the image again.
  • Inline editor for links now added 31/03/26
  • Minor UI updates done, just to add a slight polish to the user interface 10/04/26
  • Suggestion box for user feature requests. 10/04/26
  • More improvements to the Domain Favicon Retrieval Engine 13/04/26
  • Slight modification to the email subscribe link on your profile, it has a subtle animation to draw attention to it, as soon as you make any changes to your profile, and publish changes, it will be active (be sure to refresh your page!) 13/04/26
  • Couple of minor improvements completed, there is now an option to choose from a small set of highlight colours for your profile page to make it a "little more you". 06/06/2026

On a side note, we never sell your data, and you are not the product here, revenue would only be sought from users far in the future, existing accounts will keep the free features forever.
